On March 24, 2014 the Czech School Inspectorate and the Committee for Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions of the Senate of the Czech Parliament held a conference entitled Assessment of Evaluation and Monitoring System in the Czech Republic – Recommendations for the Education Policy.

The conference was held on the occasion of publishing the final report of the project Assessment of Evaluation and Monitoring System in the Czech Republic co-financed by the European Social Fund. The report of the same name presents OECD recommendations for the Czech education policy on the level of pupils' assessment, teachers' and principals' appraisal and school evaluation. The report also includes outcomes from the public discussion and questionnaire survey in which more than 600 professionals took part. Career structure and progression for teachers and school leaders, monitoring and evaluation for improvement of education outcomes were other topics common to both the conference and the final report.  At the conference the reflections to OECD recommendations and project outputs were presented by the Chief School Inspector and the Deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Sports.
