CSI published a report Overcoming School Failure in the Czech Republic

On February 28, 2014, the Czech School Inspectorate published a report Equal Access to Education in the Czech Republic: Situation and Recommendations as the conclusive output of the project activity Overcoming School Failure in the Czech Republic which was co-financed by the European Social Fund and the state budget of the Czech Republic. The publication brings a comprehensive overview of current educational policy from the perspective of fulfilling the equity principle, i.e. justice and inclusion in education, and describes in detail the current situation in the Czech Republic in this area including its possible development. Each of the six key critical issues includes weak and strong sites and is illustrated by examples of good practice. The final recommendations aim at three priorities: improvement of all pupils; focusing on the pedagogue profile in inclusive education; and usage of socio-economic data about pupils for the purpose of more effective financing and assessment.
